Joey Killeen Senior Project Manager - Tacoma, WA

Joey came to The Pool Company, Inc. as a Project Manager Assistant in June 2007, after earning his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The University of Alaska at Anchorage in 2005. He had several years of construction experience working in the field as a plumber and welder.

Joey quickly progressed to Project Manager in 2008. As TPC has continued to grow and develop during recent years, Joey’s leadership skills and knowledge of the industry have been indispensable. He now works as a Senior Project Manager in Tacoma, WA.

 

What personality traits or skills do you find most beneficial to your job?

I think I have the ability to deal with stress well. I can be meticulous when needed.

What sets TPC apart from its competitors?

The employees of the company have a very diverse background in most areas of construction and education. This allows our company to capitalize on the diversity and use it to our full potential.

What are your favorite hobbies outside of work?

Off-roading, snowboarding, hiking

Josh Manry Project Manager - Dallas, TX

Josh began working for The Pool Company, Inc. in November of 2009 as a Project Manager. He graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2008 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management. Josh spent his first year with TPC in Tacoma, WA working alongside other Project Managers and learning the ins and outs of the commercial aquatics industry. He, then, returned to his home town of Dallas, TX to head-up TPC’s Dallas office.

What sets TPC apart from its competitors?

Our business model. We hire and retain quality employees and instill our company culture in them. As a result, we have virtually no turnover. We’re also licensed to work in almost every state. Quality seems to take priority on every project. We aim to please all parties involved.

What are your favorite hobbies outside of work?

Exercise. Lifting weights at the gym, running marathon events, mountain biking, and wake surfing. Playing with my dog Leon. I’m a huge music fan. I also try to read up on a broad range of subjects whenever possible.

Jason Hill Project Manager

Jason came to The Pool Company, Inc. after serving in the United States Air Force for 6 years. While in the Air Force, Jason specialized in civil engineering, water purification, water distribution and waste water management. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force and began working for TPC in 2008. Since 2008, Jason has worked as a laborer, Project Foreman and a Project Manager. In 2012, Jason moved to Kansas City, MO to head-up TPC’s Missouri office.

What sets TPC apart from its competitors?

The Pool Company has a family quality to it. We work hard to bring in employees that are going to mesh well with the company. A great deal of interest is put in emphasizing a culture, while keeping employee turnover to a minimum. The end result is continuity that is evident in the consistency of our work.

What are your favorite hobbies outside of work?

My children are my hobby. I am also a huge sports fanatic.

Billy Scott Project Manager - Tacoma, WA

Billy started with The Pool Company, Inc. in 2013 as a Project Manager. With a rich family history going back several generations in the swimming pool industry, Billy has a great respect and a deep understanding for swimming pools and the swimming pool construction process.

In the late 80’s, around the Los Angeles area, Billy began his experience in the swimming pool industry working alongside his father in the construction phase of swimming pools starting his experience on the installation of pool rebar. While working for his father’s business during the summers, Billy began to build his knowledge with one of Southern California’s swimming pool contractors well-known for a strong work ethic and a quality product.

Billy moved with his family to Idaho, just outside of Boise, in the early 90’s and after High School further developed his knowledge of the pool industry by continuing to work with his family for Idaho’s largest pool builder of high end residential swimming pools. Building some of the most spectacular views in some of the best venues Idaho’s scenery has to offer, Billy gained an important understanding of the complete construction phase and quality of the swimming pool industry.

In 2000 Billy was given the opportunity to work for distribution in the pool and spa industry where he began to develop a vast understanding and education for the many facets of the industry and gained an extensive knowledge of the industry history, its manufactures, and its relationships. With this opportunity came great training in customer service, product handling, office management, team organization and business professionalism.

When Billy is not at work he enjoys hiking, camping and photography with his wife and two children. Keeping constantly busy, Billy and his family often find themselves exploring the western United States whenever possible.

Atmosphere, the company model for the way the business is run has a unique perspective on taking care of each other, it’s a close knit bunch and with that bond anything can be accomplished.

What are your favorite hobbies outside of work?

Flexibility. My job offers me the ability to not reach any ceiling on any given day, as well as attend important family functions.
